A healthy and vibrant parish is made up of faith-filled individuals dedicated to the service of Christ and His Church. At. St. Patrick’s, this service extends far beyond the clergy and parish staff. Our parish is very blessed to have literally dozens of individuals all gathering together in a variety of ways striving to be faithful to the proclamation of the Gospel. This is done by service to the poor, sick, elderly, children, uncatechized, hurting and all those in need. There are also many administrative duties that parishioners and staff assist with. From sitting on one of our many councils or committees to volunteering in our parish office, there is certainly a way for you to get involved. Many others enjoy our social opportunities, ministries and prayer opportunities
If you would like to get involved, please complete the “interest form” and drop it in either the weekly collection or place it in the designated basket at the church entrance. The ministry chairperson will be in contact with you!
Your help makes a difference! Blessings,
Rev. Burt Absalon, Pastor
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a world-wide organization of Catholic men and women volunteering to help those in need – spiritually, economically, and emotionally. The St. Patrick Conference in conjunction with the St. Mary Conference has been helping people in the Woodstock area for over 9 years.
“At the end of life, we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by ‘I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was naked and you clothed me, I was homeless and you took me in.’ Hungry not only for bread – but hungry for love. Naked not only for clothing – but naked for human dignity and respect. Homeless not only for want of a room of bricks – but homeless because of rejection.” – Mother Teresa
